The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health today reports 2,651 new confirmed COVID-19 infections and 69 deaths. That brings the total number of Los Angeles County residents who have been infected with the virus to 188,481 and the total number of those who have died of virus-related illnesses to 4,621.
The Health Department today reports three newly confirmed infections among West Hollywood residents, bringing the total to 427 so far. The number of WeHo residents who have died of COVID-19 related illnesses remains at five. In Beverly Hills, the number of confirmed infections has increased by four to 538. Another Beverly Hills residents has died of an illness related to the virus, bringing that total to 10 as of today. In Culver City there have been no newly confirmed infections, leaving the count at 318. The number of deaths has increased by one to a total of 29.
Hollywood has 857 confirmed infections, up seven from Thursday’s count. The number of deaths remains at nine.
The Melrose neighborhood has 17 newly confirmed infections, bringing its total to 1,428. There have been two new deaths, bringing the total so far to 52.

Residents who do not have COVID-19 can continue to call 211 for resources or more information.
As noted before, one way the virus can be transmitted is through a cough, a sneeze or even through air that comes from the mouth when someone talks. For that reason, residents must wear face coverings when out in public and can be cited for not doing so. The citations come with a $250 fine and a $50 administrative fee.

What I am not understanding is why can’t we just shut down for 2 months and get it under control to where we could do thing’s right they way it should have been done the very first time. Why must we continue to let people keep getting sick and die. I just dont understand.
That was done once, we can’t be locked up for ever. Humans are very social creatures that are not designed to be in perpetual isolation. Just wear a mask and stay safe, this is going to be going on for a while.
Short attention spans.
Little patience.
Little to no common sense.
Little self discipline.
Little respect for others.
Little self respect.
Belief that that there is some type of divine immunity JUST FOR THEM.
Yet, these folks will run you over and flatten you in a second in their rush to get the first vaccine.
