  2. There are a lot of idiot sober drivers on the roads all the time. Just imagine those same drivers on the road after they have been drinking. Traffic in L.A. S..ks. God, I miss the 80’s.

  3. I’d be very surprised if this accident wasn’t to some extent caused by Fountain narrowing to one lane eastbound non-rush hour to allow parking on this block. Cars cut over at the last minute and there’s always problems here. I’m sure it would be a hassle for the folks that live there, but this block and the half block immediately east of Fairfax need to be no parking at least 7AM-7PM M-F and possibly no parking at any time or these accidents will keep happening.

    1. I don’t see how a restriction between 7 AM-7 PM would have prevented this accident, which happened at 2:15 AM. But you could be correct, the intoxicated driver was probably making a last minute lane change, and under the influence, reaction time affected.

There are too many accidents on Fountain. And I’ve read of too many that involve intoxicated drivers between 2 AM and 5 AM. It is like a speedway, especially at that hour, when there’s no traffic on it. Maybe the Sheriff’s department should have some cars set up to be looking out for these intoxicated drivers during those hours.
