$15,000 in Vehicle Thefts and Damages in WeHo

Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out incidents in WeHo from Feb. 26 to March 4 (it was released later than usual). The list includes each case number. This report lists Part 1 (serious) crimes for the date range shown and is not meant to be a complete list of all serious crimes.

A more comprehensive listing of incidents in West Hollywood usually can be found on Crimemapping.com, which receives information about crimes from local law enforcement agencies and makes that information available to the public. However the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department has decided instead to provide monthly crime reports by service area rather than use Crimemapping, which provides daily updates.

Feb. 26

Grand Theft. 600 block of North Robertson Boulevard between 9:20 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. A man reported his watch, wallet and cell phone were missing but he was too intoxicated to remember what happened. Loss $8,500. #01447

Residential Burglary. 7300 block of Santa Monica Boulevard between 5 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. An unknown suspect removed an electric bicycle and ashtray from the patio. Loss $1,120. #01308

Grand Theft (Suspects Arrested). 7100 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at 9:45 a.m. Two women removed two backpacks and filled them with merchandise from the cosmetics and jewelry departments and left the store without payment. Both suspects were arrested. Loss $1,311 (recovered). #01309

Other Burglary. 8200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard between 8 p.m. and 2 p.m. the next day. An unknown suspect pried a door open to gain entry and removed a desktop computer and monitor from the office area. Loss $5,000. #01327

Feb. 28

Grand Theft. 1300 block of Sepulveda Boulevard between 12:30 and 2:45 p.m. An unknown suspect removed $1,500 in cash from the bedroom. #01325

Vehicle Burglary. 8900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard between 10 and 10:30 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing clothing from the front passenger’s side seat and another backpack containing clothing from the backseat. Loss $1,950. #01335

Vehicle Burglary. 1200 block of North Flores Street between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. the next day. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing two leather bags and four bottles of whiskey from the front seat. The backpack and leather bags were found lying on the sidewalk a short distance from the vehicle by the victim. The whiskey was not recovered. Loss $400. #01375

March 1

Grand Theft. 900 Block Westmount Drive at 6:15 a.m. A man removed two unsecured UPS packages from the lobby area and left the location on foot. Loss $1,000. #01359

Vehicle Burglary. 800 block of North San Vicente Boulevard between 11 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. the next day. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing a watch, check, and headphones from the backseat. Loss $1,800. #01366

Vehicle Burglary. 900 block of Genesee Avenue between 7:30 p.m. and 8:50 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and but did not take anything. Loss $350 (window). #01369

Vehicle Burglary. 1200 block of Harper Avenue between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m. the next day. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a bag containing clothing from the front seat. Loss $700. #01371

Vehicle Burglary. 8200 Block Norton Avenue between 7:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a computer bag containing a laptop computer from the front floorboard. Loss $2,300. #01373

Aggravated Assault – Hands, Fist, Feet (Suspect Arrested). 9000 block of Rangely Avenue at 5:34 a.m. A man was punched and kicked multiple times and accused of stealing a passport belonging to a women in the club. The suspect was arrested. #01390

Aggravated Assault – Hands, Fist, Feet. 9000 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at 11:45 p.m. A man was punched in the face by another man after a brief verbal confrontation while standing on the sidewalk. #01407

Grand Theft. 600 block of North Robertson Boulevard at 12:15 a.m. An unknown suspect removed the victim’s cell phone from her purse while inside the club. Loss $1,000. #01384

Grand Theft. 600 block of North Robertson Boulevard at 1 a.m. An unknown suspect removed the victim’s cell phone from her purse while inside the club. Loss $1,000. #01395

Strong Arm Robbery. 8400 block of Fountain Avenue at 11:32 a.m. A women was walking on Fountain Avenue when a man grabbed her from behind and threw her to the ground. The suspect attempted to take the victims purse but was unsuccessful. The suspect took a pair of headphones from the victim and fled the area on foot. Loss $10. #01406

March 4

Vehicle Burglary. 500 block of North Robertson Boulevard between 12:15 and 1:50 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing a laptop computer and from the rear floorboard. Loss $3,125. #01409

Vehicle Burglary. 500 block of North Robertson Boulevard between 12:30 and 1:50 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a purse from the rear floorboard and a backpack containing a wallet and $300 cash from the trunk. Loss $2,200. #01410

Vehicle Burglary. 8500 Block Sunset Boulevard between 12:30 and 3 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing a laptop computer from the back seat. Loss $2,300. #01415
