Paris Chansons, Los Angeles’ premiere French and international band, will perform French and Russian classics tomorrow at the West Hollywood City Council Chambers at 625 N. San Vicente Blvd.

The performance is the latest in the city’s “Winter Sounds” concert series, which continues through February.

Paris Chansons is known for its original renditions of favorites from Aznavour, Brel, Dassin, Piaf, and Montand, as well as songs by contemporary artists including Zax. It features four multilingual singers and musicians on keyboard, violin, bass, guitar and drums. Performances are punctuated by traditional jazz standards in addition to classics performed in many languages.

The performance takes place at 5 p.m. Reservations are not required but are recommended at http://bit.ly/WehoArtsParisChansons.

Feb. 17 at 5 p.m. the Peter Kavanaugh Quartet will perform American Jazz standards at the West Hollywood Park Auditorium, located at 647 N. San Vicente Blvd.

Bandleader, composer, and guitarist Peter Kavanaugh revitalizes American jazz and popular classics with a 1960s West Coast jazz take, based in electric guitar and vibraphone. His upbeat sound includes unexpected elements such as bossa nova, blues, bop and gypsy jazz. Reservations are not required but are recommended at http://bit.ly/PeterKavanaughQuartet.
