Camp West Hollywood Is Open, and There’s Room for More

The City of West Hollywood’s Recreation Services Division began summer camp today.

Camp West Hollywood typically takes place at West Hollywood Park, but due to improvements taking place there, the 2017 summer camp has been moved to Plummer Park. This year’s term will run for six weeks from today through Friday, July 21 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays. A limited number of spots remain open for Camp West Hollywood. Enrollment is expected to be available throughout the summer term; camp enrollment fee is $150 per week.

Campers ages 6 to 11 will engage in lots of indoor and outdoor activities. There will be weekly field trips to local hot spots such as Universal Studios, the Los Angeles Zoo, the California Sciencenter, and more. All campers will have the opportunity to swim at the West Hollywood Aquatics Center, located at West Hollywood Park, where trained and certified lifeguards will always be on duty.’

This year’s Camp West Hollywood is also sure to provide \memorable experiences with weekly themes such as Superhero Mania, Sports Extravaganza and Adventures in Wonderland. Campers can expect to create plenty of exciting crafts and projects throughout the week to take home. Safety is always the number one priority at Camp West Hollywood, and each and every camp counselor and junior counselor is CPR/AED trained through the American Heart Association.
