Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters responded at around 7:30 a.m. today to a car crash at 8440 Fountain Ave. near North Olive Drive that left Fountain closed to traffic.
The car, a Mustang, crashed into a utility pole, which fell over and hit a nearby apartment building. The building sustained minor damage. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Fountain initially was closed in both directions for several hours and then opened to westbound traffic while debris was being removing from the street.
