Feeling the Bern (or Not), Be Ready For Disco Inferno in WeHo Friday

WeHo residents who are hot for the Bern will be turning the Santa Monica Boulevard nightlife district into a Disco Inferno tomorrow night.

Supporters of Bernie Sanders’ quest for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination will gather at West Hollywood Park around 5 p.m. Friday. A Facebook post promoting the event calls for participants to “dress in your most outlandish disco attire.”

Then, the post says, the Sanders supporters will “take our flash mob to West Hollywood folks enjoying Happy Hour at a variety of restaurants and bars.”

The announcement includes a link to a video of a similar rally in Anaheim recently for those wanting to practice the dancing in advance.

“Shillary” huh? Now I see why you want to pave the path for a Trump Administration: you and he both like to use derogatory nicknames, like schoolyard bullies. Great. Have fun with that, you rabid nutcase. I hope that gulping down your Bernie Tea and submitting to his campaign’s twisted spin on reality helps you sleep at night – while President Trump packs SCOTUS with conservative judges, chokes welfare to death, and Makes This Country 1975 Again.

Micha, you are aware that Gore lost to Bush because of systemic voter fraud in Florida, and the SCOTUS making an unprecedented and unconstitutional decision to pick Bush. Nader’s votes were negligible in the context of the “result”. But its a great myth and narrative for whipping non centrist candidates into line, and browbeating them for not rolling over meekly in the face of the wishes of the unDemocratic Party. Shillary supported DOMA. People in the LGBT shouldn’t forget it was her and her husband who set equality back 20 + years. Not to mention the war mongering, financial fraud… Read more »

WeHoVaud, you are blind as a bat. Sanders is definitely the Ralph Nader of 2016. I hope all the #FeelTheBern people like slanderous nicknames and legislated bigotry… bc we’re about to get a LOT of that over the next 4 years of the Trump Administration

“Rage and Resentment”. “Sabotage”. Yet Shillary stayed in 2008 until the convention citing Bobby Kennedy’s assassination http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/24/us/politics/24clinton.html?_r=0 “We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California.” And you wonder why people are turned off by Clinton? Tone deaf, business as usual, Wall St and Corporate donor funded Shillary can only blame herself and her pearl clutching, “get off my lawn”, baby boomer support base for alienating the entire future of the democratic party. She’s losing under 45s in every demographic. Shes getting 20%+ less support from minorities compared to Obama in 08 and 12. And crucially, shes losing… Read more »

Old Man Bernie’s only up in some polls because he is the only one of three candidates whom no one is attacking; so of course he gets a bump from that. Both Hillary and Trump – and anyone who understands math – know that Bernie’s campaign has been dead since the New York primary. But he and his supporters are so filled with rage and resentment, they’d rather sabotage Hillary and let Trump win, just to “prove” their power to everyone. It’s twisted and destructive – and it’s the GOP’s fondest dream.

Hilarious. Already getting the Sanders=Nader narrative ready for when Crooked Hillary’v botched campaign implodes under its own hubris and dishonesty.

This has been the most corrupt DNC Primary in decades, and it’s all down to #ItsHerTurn and Debbie Wassermann Schultz’s election rigging.

Shillary is already down in aggregate polls compared to Trump, the most loathed candidate in recorded history.

But Sanders is leading him by 10 points by the same metric. So if you want to stop the Donald, you better vote Bernie and hope Shillary drops out for the good of the country.

Well, we now know where Millennials get their name. It’s from the millennial election of 2000: when a stubborn 3rd party candidate splintered the Democratic vote and helped a Republican into the White House. Thanks, Millennials.

P.S. The shape shifting candidate that just refuses to stay dead will be my first choice in the November General Election Election.

The insults and abuses continue from Clinton supporters toward anyone who is moved to support the courageous campaign and the morally necessary reforms being proposed by United States Senator Bernie Sanders. In reference to the preceding Comments: We know the calendar, we know Sanders has already made history he can be proud of Sanders, and we know that the Democratic National Committee is leading the only funeral dirge — for a family and a candidate with a shape shifting history that no one wants to remember that just refuses to stay dead.

Dance away and more power to you but come November, you better vote for Hillary unless you want that xenophobic, homophobic, misogynistic bigot Trump as President.

It’s weird watching these people struggle to figure out where they and their candidate will fit into history now that it won’t be on a presidential level. I see these Bernie Sanders rallies in the same way that I see New Orleans jazz funerals – a festive way to mourn death or loss. In which case, let them rally; hopefully it leaves them in a healthier place 🙂

Guess I’m staying inside tomorrow. Also; PSA: Bernie lost at least a month ago.
