Six Gay Web Series Honored at the Indie Series Awards

Six gay web series won awards last night at the 5th Annual Indie Series Awards, which celebrates the best in independently produced entertainment — for both gay and straight audiences — created for the web. The Indie Series Awards ceremony was held at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood.

The big winner was Sebastian La Cause’s “Hustling,” which was named Best Web Series in the Drama category. The first series of Hustling was a 2013 Webby Award honoree. “Hustling” follows Ryan Crosby (La Cause), “a sex-worker who realizes he wants more from life when he turns 40. His path to transformation is filled with peculiar situations, sex romps and reminders of the life he’s trying to leave behind.”
