Couldn’t Make the Great Los Angeles Hike? Here’s What You Missed

You may not had had the time, or the energy, to join the 18-mile Great Los Angeles Walk a week ago Saturday. (Or maybe you’re one of those Angelenos who can’t fathom why anyone would actually “walk” when he or she has a Land Rover parked in the driveway). Thanks to eastside blogger Will Campbell, you can see what you missed. Campbell has posted on YouTube a video of the entire 18-mile journey from Echo Park Lake to the ocean, which he shot with a camera strapped to his chest. He snapped a frame every two seconds, creating a 14-minute depiction of the seven and a half hour hike that calls out some of West Hollywood’s iconic Sunset Strip landmarks.
