Six Assaults and 17 Car Thefts with $26,000 in Losses in WeHo Last Week

Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out incidents in WeHo from Oct. 30 to Nov. 5. The list includes each case number. This report lists Part 1 (serious) crimes for the date range shown and is not meant to be a complete list of all serious crime. A more comprehensive listing of incidents in West Hollywood can be found on Crimemapping.com. Oct. 30

Vehicle Burglary. 1000 block Hayworth Avenue between 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. An unknown suspect cut the convertible top to gain entry and removed a phone cradle and radio gauge from the interior. Loss $1,000 #05968

Vehicle Burglary. 1400 block North Fairfax Avenue between 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. An unknown suspect cut the rear passenger’s side window to gain access and removed a cell phone from the center console. Loss $1,600. #05974

Grand Theft. 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 10:30 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a backpack from the street that was left momentarily unattended. The backpack contained a Rolex watch. Loss $10,000 #06008

Vehicle Burglary. 600 block Westbourne Drive between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a laptop computer and shoes from the back seat. Loss $1,100. #05992

Assault (Non-Aggravated)/ Resisting a Peace Officer. 8900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at 9:30 p.m.

Nov. 1

Locker Burglary. 8600 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 1:30 and 2 p.m. An unknown suspect cut the lock and removed a wallet containing cash and credit cards from the gym locker at 24 Hour Fitness. Loss $50. #06025

Strong Arm Robbery. Rangely Avenue / Robertson Boulevard. at 12:15 a.m. A women was waiting on the street corner when she became involved in an argument with a man. The argument escalated and the suspect pulled the victim’s cell phone from her hand and punched her one time in the face. The suspect then fled the area on foot with the victim’s cell phone. Loss $1,050. #05983

Vehicle Burglary. 1100 block Larrabee Street between 8 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed electronic tools from the front floorboard. Loss $13,000 #06013

Vehicle Burglary. 1200 block Poinsettia Place between 5 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. An unknown suspect ransacked the interior and removed a cell phone charger from the center console. No sign of forced entry. Loss $35. #06021

Nov. 2

Aggravated Assault – Knife (Suspect Arrested). 8700 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 7:45 a.m. A homeless man was sleeping in the stairwell when he was contacted by an employee and asked to leave the area so the victim could clean. The suspect refused to leave and pointed a knife at the victim and threatened to kill him. Responding deputies located and arrested the suspect. #06045

Grand Theft. 1200 block North Crescent Heights Boulevard between 8 a.m. and noon. An unknown suspect removed a pair of leather boots from the residence during a move. Loss $1,000 #06058

Vehicle Burglary 600 block La Peer Drive between 1 and 10 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed two backpacks containing personal items from the front seat. Loss $1,060. #06020

Vehicle Burglary. Willoughby Avenue / Sierra Bonita Avenue between 7:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. . An unknown suspect removed a gym bag containing clothing from the trunk. No sign of forced entry. Loss $450. #06063

Nov. 3

Grand Theft. 8900 block Beverly Boulevard at 5:40 p.m. Two men and a woman removed two backpacks and two hand bags from a display area and left the store without payment. Loss $4,300. #06056

Other Burglary. 7700 block Hampton Avenue at 11:30 a.m. A man dismantled a bike rack and removed a bicycle from the subterranean parking garage. Loss $850. #06100

Vehicle Burglary. Olive Drive / Santa Monica Boulevard between 9:17 and 10:57 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear window and removed luggage containing clothing and shoes from the trunk area. Loss $1,300. #06062

Vehicle Burglary. Beverly Boulevard / Robertson Boulevard between 9:43 a.m. and 10 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the passenger’s side window and removed a briefcase from the front seat. Loss $550. #06077

Vehicle Burglary Sherbourne Drive / Bonner Drive between 9:45 and 11 p.m. . An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed two bags from the back seat. Loss $450 (window). #06078
