Seven Hospitalized in Crash on Sunset and LaCienega Last Night

Seven people were injured in a crash between two vehicles Sunday evening in West Hollywood, authorities said.

The crash happened about 6:25 p.m. at the intersection of La Cienega and Sunset boulevards, according to a sheriff’s sergeant.

Seven patients were hospitalized, according to the fire department. At least three of the people were believed to be pedestrians.

The victims’ conditions and extent of their injuries have not been released.

@ Jessica aka Michael Grace: Not part of anyone’s team, only interested in fostering positive solutions by approaching those with opposing points of view. Commonly known as resourceful communication.

BTW had a fruitful discussion Tuesday morning, based on actual observations concerning this intersection, with Public Works/Engineering…Oscar Delgado and one of his engineers.

That intersection is a disaster waiting to happen. It actually already has. The day before this crash I crossed there and swore I would never do it again. The crossing “button” on the SW corner is a death-trap. Its on a steep angle that nobody should have to balance on, especially someone in heels. The corner itself barely separates the street from the sidewalk, so a car taking a right, south onto La Cienega could easily plow through those waiting for the walk light. @ Jessica: Hopefully there are some anger management opportunities available. Part of the therapy includes being involved in positive outreach and behavior.

It was expected to get crazy on that intersection. The two giant buildings on both sides are not even open yet. I live around there and I’m not looking forward to the traffic that this will create. But thank goodness, we’ll have ONE MORE giant hotel in the city!

Unfortunately, this only the beginning of accidents involving pedestrians with Sunset Blvd. being overbuilt and having to endure the traffic created from the two new ghastly building where architecture competes with grotesque billboards that distracting drivers. You are looking for an address and instead, are blinded by bimbos pushing Botox. Hopefully the seven injured will sue the City of West Hollywood for allowing this safety hazard.
