Seven Thefts from Cars in WeHo Last Week

Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out incidents in WeHo from Sept. 26 to Oct. 2. The times are indicated in Military Time, a concise form in which midnight is indicated as 0000 and noon as 1200. The list also includes the case number.

Sept. 26

Residential Burglary. 500 block Westbourne Drive. @ 6:30 p.m. – 1 a.m. The suspect removed a pane of glass on a rear door to gain access and ransacked the interior. Nothing was taken from the residence. Loss $400 (Door). #05736

Armed Robbery. 1000 block Westmount Drive @ 2:30 – 3 a.m. A man was walking outside of the hotel when another man approached him from behind armed with a handgun and demanded his property. The victim waited until the next morning to report the incident. Loss $300 (Cellphone). #05719

CrimeVehicle Burglary. 7700 block Hampton Avenue. @ 9 p.m. – 5:45 a.m. The rear driver’s side window was smashed and the interior was ransacked. A duffle bag containing clothing was taken from the back seat and recovered nearby. Loss $250. #05740

Sept. 27

Aggravated Assault. 7600 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 7:55 a.m.. A man sprayed another man in the face with pepper spray because he cut in front of him while waiting in line. The victim and the suspect left the area before deputies arrived. #05747

Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect Arrested). 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 11:00 a.m. A man placed a watch and clothing in a bag and attempted to leave the store. When confronted by security, the suspect began to struggle and swing his arms in an attempt to get away. The suspect was arrested and found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Loss $120. #05751

Sept. 28

Aggravated Assault (Suspect Arrested). 1100 block La Cienega Boulevard @ 9:20 a.m.. A homeless man threw rocks at two people after he was asked to leave the location. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect. #05760

Other Burglary. 800 block Westmount Drive @ 9:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. Eight wheels and tires were taken from two vehicles that were parked in the subterannean garage. Loss $2,000. #05781

Armed Robbery. Santa Monica Boulevard/Ramage Street @ 4:50 a.m. The victim was walking southbound on Ramage Street when a man in a vehicle drove by and stopped just ahead of the victim. The suspect exited the vehicle, pointed a handgun and demanded his property. The victim complied and gave the suspect his watch and cellphone. Loss $400. #05757

Sept. 29

Vehicle Burglary. 1200 block Larrabee Street @ 1 to 9 a.m. A backpack containing a laptop and paperwork was taken from the front passenger seat. No sign of forced entry. Loss $1,700. #05784

Sept. 30

Grand Theft. 1000 block North Edinburgh Avenue. @ 12:01 to 9 a.m.. The suspect(s) cut the lock and removed a bicycle from the back patio area. Loss $3,000. #05811

Residential Burglary (Suspect Arrested). 1000 block Vista Avenue @ 3:20 a.m. A screen was cut to gain access to the residence. Loss $80 (screen). The suspect was later arrested by deputies. #05795

Vehicle Burglary. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The rear passenger’s side window was smashed, and a tote bag was taken from the front floorboard area. Loss $250. #05792

Vehicle Burglary. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 10 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. The interior was ransacked and a laptop was taken from the trunk. No sign of forced entry. Loss $300. #05798

Vehicle Burglary. 1400 block North Laurel Avenue. @ 7 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. The interior was ransacked and a gym bag, clothing, and headphones were taken from the trunk. No sign of forced entry. Loss $1,000. #05826

Vehicle Burglary. 900 block North Hancock Avenue @ 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.. A passport and $10 in change was taken from the glove box. No sign of forced entry. #05827

Vehicle Burglary. 1200 block Detroit Street between Sept. 30 and Oct. 2. The rear passenger’s side window was smashed and a purse was taken from the rear floorboard area. Loss $500. #05848

Oct. 1

Grand Theft (Suspects Arrested) 600 block Robertson Boulevard @ 1:35 a.m.. A man and woman were arrested for stealing cellphones from patrons of the business. Five cellphones were recovered. #08519
