Given the heat lately, it’s hard to imagine that Christmas, typically a sunny and warm day with a crisply cool evening, will ever arrive in Southern California.
But actually it was here last night, in West Hollywood, when Ross Mathews and David Cooley, founder of The Abbey, hosted the ninth annual Christmas in September. The event is an annual toy drive whose goal is to replenish the toy chest of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
With toys in hand, guests included Elton John and David Furnish, Lance Bass, Karrueche Tran, Sarah Colonna (“Chelsea Lately”), Jon Ryan (Seattle Seahawks), Jenni Pulos (“Flipping Out”), Roxy Sowlaty and Jonny Drubel (“Rich Kids of Beverly Hills”), Abby Lee Miller (“Dance Moms”) and Candi Spelling. Mathews celebrated his own birthday as well, with a cake at his private table.
